
Speck is a cured, smoked ham that originates from the mountains of the South Tyrol in northern Italy. It has a savoury, smoky taste that's laced with spices like juniper & bay. This example is made to a centuries-old recipe and is aged for several months to intensify the delicious flavours!
So, who makes this stuff?
Salumificio San Paolo was established near the city of Parma in 1974. The area is known as 'Food Valley' because of the rich traditions of food production & in particular quality cured & cooked meat.
