View full detailsPasta is the classic Italian food and there are more than 600 shapes and regional sub-varieties to choose from. So where to start?
First up, let’s deal with the fresh versus dried pasta debate…. It’s not that one is better than the other (it comes down to personal taste after all), it just depends on the dish you’re making! Italians do have a few ‘rules’ when it comes to matching pasta and the right sauce.
Portion size: Allow 80 to 100g of uncooked dried pasta per person. For fresh pasta 125g is a good sized portion for each person.
At Buon Appetito we have selected a range of genuine Italian pastas, some of which are hard to find in this part of the world! Don’t worry, if you’re not sure where to start, click on the individual products & we’ll help you match the pasta to a sauce to give you an authentic experience.
